When I first walked into this class. I had no idea what to expect. Would it be like Multimedia at the middle school where all we did was take pictures? Would we learn about studio lighting? About memory cards? There was a lot up in the air for me. When we did the first weekly challenge, I was very unsure of what I wanted to photograph as well. It was the middle of winter, so nothing was especially pretty or photograph-worthy.
Then we started learning about Photoshop. Boy, did I get frustrated by these lessons. The electronic tools never seemed to work exactly how I wanted them to, and my final products would always come out looking a little funky. I'm actually impressed about how much I can do in Photoshop now because I came in with virtually no knowledge on how to use the program. Overall, this class has taught me about how to be a better photographer. I also learned to achieve this you just need to practice a lot! I found myself getting better at spotting good picture sites with each week, which was extremely gratifying. Below is the progression of my work.
